Post-human fauna

After the human defense detachment stationed on Anthropomundus was vanquished by the invaders, the genomes of the defenders were sequenced, averaged into one, genetically diverse genome, and then tailored in such a way to build something truly bizarre. By century's end following the conquest, all the oceans of Anthropomundus were filled with billions of writhing mutants, fated to become fodder to various species of thanophytes, genetically boosted indigenous carnivorous flora. After the departure, many of these unfortunate beings would perish. Those that survived, however, would become the progenitors of a diverse array of future human fauna, giving rise to innumerable clades of such divergence that you, as their ancestor, could be forgiven for not initially recognizing them as human.

Below is a list of post-human clades of varying taxonomic ranks.
